10/26/08 - Heart Healthy Kids Day at IUP

The IUP athletic department hosted the 1st Annual Heart Healthy Kids Day at IUP on Sunday afternoon.  Each sport made available their athletic facility and provided instruction from both athletes and coaches.

This was an opportunity to spend a day of fun with the athletes of IUP and learn of the importance of maintaining a heart-healthy lifestyle and was supported by IUP Athletics, Indiana Regional Medical Center, and the American Heart Association. 

Specifically in the sport of baseball, youth hit in the IUP batting cages.
