2/8/08 - New Indoor Batting Cage Installed

Through the fundraising efforts of the IUP Baseball and Softball teams, and assistance from the IUP Administration, a new batting cage has been installed in the Auxiliary Gym of the Memorial Field House.

"The new batting cage now gives the Auxiliary Gym two full size cages that electronically lower from the ceiling and provide us with a perfect indoor hitting facility for both our team and our baseball camps," commented IUP Head Baseball Coach Jeff Ditch.

The baseball team has now completed three weeks of team practice as they prepare for the 2008 season opener vs. Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA.
